The support for coffee filters is made of glass， the safest material that exists for use in food. It is completely non-toxic and therefore one of the materials of choice for people with allergy problems. This glass is made of borosilicate: very resistant to heat and thermal shock， withstanding temperatures between -31 oC and 450 oC.
